[Op-Ed] FF7 Remake Part Two Might Look Something Like This – You Thought Part One Was Thirsty?
It’s All In The Past
Once you got the buggy, the world was your oyster. Well, some of it anyway. One optional place you could visit, that will likely be a big deal in Part Two, was Gongaga Village. This is because we now know that the Remake series will incorporate much of the plot of Crisis Core, and Gongaga Village is the hometown of Zack Fair, again seen briefly in Intermission.
For those new to Final Fantasy 7 and its lore and history, Zack Fair is the focal point of Cloud’s unfolding identity crisis. His story flows together with Cloud and Sephiroth’s own, and the clones that made a small appearance in Part One, living in the room near Tifa’s in Sector 7, and dotted the first area in Intermission. These will feature heavily in Part Two, marking the route of pilgrimage as they travel the same path as Sephiroth to the Cetra’s Promised Land, and the heart of the planet, always seeking Jenova.
With Zack’s involvement in the Remake story, and the inclusion of more DeepGround and other offshoot narratives from Crisis Core, Gongaga could become a focal point for that part of the story. Insert very in-depth and confusing anime plot here.
