Stolen Materia DLC
Considering Yuffie’s recent starring role in Intermission, I wonder if Wutai will be as optional as it was in the original. Arriving at Yuffie’s hometown, the team suddenly find their materia missing and a quest begins to find Yuffie and retrieve it. It involves the Turks and gives us all sorts of info on her past. We imagine this time around that this will be planned storyline DLC. And possibly a subsequent GOTY edition-type release for Part Two, just like Intergrade.
Completing it would have ramifications on the next chapter and it could be incorporated around the Keystone plot device – the stone the party is now searching for to access the Temple of the Ancients. You remember Don Corneo from Part One? This is where he’s gone to recuperate and recover from his encounter with the team, so we should definitely meet up with him again, even if only to punish the lecherous old bastard one more time.
Of course at the end of this section you retrieve your materia, Yuffie apologies and the party agree to let her carry on with them. It’s time to find that Keystone.
