Everything we've seen so far of A Plague Tale: Requiem, and there's more to come - release date incoming - find out more inside.

I used to think of Plague Tale: Innocence as just my little game, that I’d discovered and no one else knew about. It’s one of my favourites of the whole last generation, but I didn’t feel like it made the kind of impact I felt it should have. Well, my little fantasy was blown out of the water this last week. The sequel A Plague Tale: Requiem was everywhere – not one, not two, but at three different showcases. If you failed to catch the Xbox event cinematic reveal last year, you could not have missed it this week.

So here I wanted to bring together everything we’ve seen for Requiem; all the trailers, all in one place for your viewing pleasure. And to clue you in on the fact that there’s still one to come. I kind of hate to say it, but the game has reached the heights of announcing the date on which the release date is to be announced. The giddy giddy heights. June 23rd to be exact, when we will then know how much longer we need to wait.

So, first up chronologically – learn where it all began with the Tribeca games Showcase – almost ten minutes dedicated to how the first game came about, the drives of the devs and Asobo Studios.

And just so you can find it again if you need it, the cinematic announcement trailer from June 2021 – I just about screamed when this announcement came up.

Then came The Game Awards 2021 gameplay reveal trailer.

Back to this week, and Xbox Bethesda’s showcase wowed us with a second gameplay reveal trailer showing off much of what we’d expect from a sequel, but also new weapons, moves, story, and stealth. They call it the End of Innocence trailer, which is very apt. I did think if a sequel ever happened it would be called Experience after all.

But as I said, that’s not all. Requiem is also the headliner at the Focus Entertainment Showcase on June 23rd where Focus have promised yet another exclusive and extended gameplay trailer, and the release date. Here’s the official link to watch it live:

So, hopefully you’re all caught up on where we are with A Plague Tale: Requiem and all its many media appearances recently. If you aren’t psyched now, then I’ve got nothing left to give.

A Plague Tale: Requiem releases later this year on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and in Cloud Version on Nintendo Switch.
