Lords Of The Fallen 2.0 Launches with Free Friend Pass and 50+ Updates
These days, when a game launches, that’s never the end of the story. We reviewed Lords Of The Fallen back in October 2023, and were impressed with its style, visuals, and combat, giving it a healthy 8 out of 10, but since then we’ve been sleeping the sleep of the dead, with no Umbral Lamp to revive us. Little did we know that the developers and community have been playing and refining Lords Of The Fallen for the last 18 months, working on more than 50 separate fan-requested updates, and are now launching Lords Of The Fallen 2.0 – There’s a lot to talk about, so strap your sword belt on tight.
CI Games unveils Lords of the Fallen Version 2.0, the definitive edition of 2023’s action-RPG, available April 17th, as a free update for all owners across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Now, you can watch the video above or check out the list below for a rundown of the biggest updates.

VISUAL AND TECHNICAL UPGRADES

That’s one hell of an update we think you’ll agree, especially if you haven’t been keeping up with the game since you finished it in 2023; a dedicated jump button is a game changer, because there are multiple areas in Axiom and Umbral where you need to platform about on the sides of great cliffs and relying on what existed before was fraught with peril; crunchy combat audio is fantastic as audio is so often forgotten in these things: UI overhaul is definitely appreciated as again the base game suffered from some busy menu screens; lastly the Lamp Guidance – maybe this one is a step too far, and makes the game too easy, but perhaps I’m just being an angry gatekeeper.
Seems like whether you are a returning player, a constant player, or someone who still hasn’t given this epic souls-like a go at all, there literally has never been a better time to do so.
