Fantasian Announces Physical Editions And Release Date
Yes, to be honest it was announced earlier this year, but if you ‘Mist’ it, sorry missed it, Fantasian has been released from its captivity on Apple Arcade and is making its way to consoles and PC. It was in early 2021 that Fantasian first wowed us, unfortunately locked to Apple’s subscription exclusivity. We knew though that often exclusivity to AA was for around 2 years, meaning that sooner or later we were going to see a full release.
And here it is. Slap bang in the middle of a packed State of Play from Sony, Fantasian’s director and father of Final Fantasy Hironobu Sakaguchi, announced that Fantasian was coming to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch in physical editions, and to PlayStation 4, Xbox consoles and PC via digital download. And that’s along with a release date – 5th December 2024 – just two short months away. Check out the trailer.
Preorders are up, and though I would never sanction preordering (especially not digital), players who do will receive the Vibran Secret Stone, an in-game bonus item which provides an experience boost to any character when equipped. Quite a good preorder bonus all told, but the best bit has to be in the small print – the Vibran Secret Stone’s magic wears off and expires at 11:59 on December 31, 2034. So you’ve got ten years.
