A week from its full release on the 19th of September, Mortal Kombat 1 has a swanky launch trailer to enjoy.

Don’t worry, the endless slew of Mortal Kombat 1 trailers is soon coming to an end. With the fighting game’s release day fast approaching, we’ve received the official launch trailer, showing off more of the roster and Kameo fighters. Of particular interest is Shang Tsung, with a rather ominous look at his fate in light of Liu Kang’s re-envisioned reality. Check it out.

Plenty to sink your fists into, both for new and returning fans. NetherRealm and Warner Bros. have spent a lot of time hyping up the release of the Mortal Kombat reset entry, but we don’t have much longer to wait, with early access players tearing into the roster on the 14th of September. For the rest of us, we’ll just have to hold on a bit longer, with the full release being the 19th.

As a welcome addition, Mortal Kombat 1 will launch with a variety of accessibility options including audio descriptions and cues for on-screen actions. Accessibility has received a lot of focus in recent years, so it’s pleasing to see this new entry providing greater opportunities for more players to get involved.

Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) on the 19th of September 2023. Playable fighters Quan Chi, Ermac, and Takeda, along with guest fighters Peacemaker, Omni-Man, and Homelander will be featured in the post-launch Kombat Pack, which is available now for pre-order as part of the Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition and Kollector’s Edition.
