In a new Ruler of Outworld trailer, showcased in this week’s Opening Night Live conference, both new playable Kombatants for Mortal Kombat 1 were shown off:
General Shao will of course be recognised for his previous iterations as Shao Khan. You know, the guy who busted your balls harder than Johnny Cage in MK9. In this new time-warped version, he’ll be smashing opponents as the Supreme Ruler of Outworld’s army.
As the Empress of Outworld, Sindel will be using all manner of dastardly tactics. Piercing screams, impressive levitations and pulling your limbs apart with her hair of all things. She’s going to be a formidable opponent indeed.
Both Motaro and Shujinko are also confirmed as two more Kameo fighters, usable in-game for specific call-in moves and assistance. With everything shown so far, the Mortal Kombat 1 roster is bursting at the seams, as Liu Kang attempts to reshape the universe as he sees fit.
