In news that’s both surprising and totally unsurprising in equal measure, Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm have announced a Van Damme skin for Jonny Cage in the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1. The action star seems an almost too-perfect fit for celebrity ball-buster Johnny, so perhaps the fates have simply aligned for MK1.

The Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny Cage (available at launch) is featured in the Kombat Pack. The pack will also include early access to six new playable characters – Quan Chi, Ermac, Takeda Takahashi, Peacemaker, Omni-Man, and Homelander (all available post-launch) – and five new Kameo Fighters (available post-launch). The Kombat Pack is available as part of the Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition and Kollector’s Edition, which can be pre-ordered now.
Mortal Kombat 1 will be releasing on September 19th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
