June 20th is fast approaching, are you prepared for the Xenomorph threat?

Pre-orders are now offically open for Aliens: Dark Descent, the tactical squad-based title being developed by Tindalos Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment. To celebrate the fast approaching release date of June 20th, a new story focused trailer has dropped, promising planetary mysteries to reveal and more stoic soldier rhetoric: “we’re marines, that’s the job”.

It’s a relatively short trailer, hinting at some of the story beats and a new threat we can expect to explore in the reaches of space. There’s even a couple of snippets of gameplay towards the end, just to tease those XCOM itches that have been dormant for a while.

Aliens: Dark Descent seems to be shaping up nicely as it heads toward its final form. Will it be a Xeno to match the might of its previous iterations? We’ll have to wait and see, but let’s keep our fingers crossed it bursts out of this host better than Aliens: Colonial Marines did.

If you’ve missed the earlier trailers and news from the game, you can find the announcement news here and the gameplay showcases right here. What are you waiting for?!

Aliens: Dark Descent will be slithering onto PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC this June 20. Digital and retail pre-orders are open for all platforms and should you choose to pre-order your copy, you’ll receive the Lethe Recon Pack as a reward, fancy.

Just under two months to go until you’ll be commanding your marines through a nightmarish Alien adventure, until then we’ll have to stick to the shadows and enjoy celebrating yesterday’s Alien day.
