Trails Through Daybreak II Has A Release Date

It seems like only five minutes have passed since I was watching the credits roll on Van Arkride’s first fantastic adventure, the latest in the Trails series to get a western localisation – Trails Through Daybreak. And just a day after the game’s launch, Falcom announced the sequel’s western release. We knew it would be early in 2025, but we now have the official date – Trails through Daybreak II is coming on Valentine’s Day 14th February 2025. Check out the trailer below, but be careful of spoilers if you’ve not finished the first game.

That is not long to wait when most of us are still on the first one, or just finishing it now. It’s 70-odd hours long!

In this sequel to The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak, a shocking series of murders set the wheels of fate into motion once again. Chaos looming on the horizon, the spriggan Van Arkride receives an unexpected visitor. Who is behind the murders, and what is their goal?

If you can’t wait for February next year for your Falcom fix, then in just ten days Ys X Nordics sees its western release – check out our review for this fun adventure in Falcom’s other great series. If you’ve had enough Falcom I can understand that, they’ve fairly dominated the JRPG market for months, and don’t show any signs of stopping, with another Ys re-release on the horizon in early 2025 as well. We’ll let you know when we have word of a release date.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II comes to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on 14th February 2025.
