Alone in the Dark New Trailer Teases The Horrors That Await

In May, Alone in the Dark had a THQ Spotlight that delved deep into everything new with the revived classic survival horror franchise. Alongside a release date, the two playable characters were revealed to be played by David Harbour and Jodie Comer. Above all else, we also got a prequel demo too. You can learn more about that and my impressions here.

The game follows Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood – played by the aforementioned actors. Emily has hired Edward to search for her missing uncle at a home for the mentally ill, Decerto Manor. Set in 1920s in the American deep south, developers – Pieces Interactive – are open about retaining the heritage of the setting. There is also the promise of creating an unsettling and fresh take on the Godfather of survival horror. All of it sounds really promising with the more news that comes out about the game.

The Spotlight back in May was illusive about the horror that lurks in Decerto Manor. However, The Dark Man did get a quick mention as a nefarious and omnipotent force of evil, terrorising Emily’s uncle. Today we have a teaser on just how potentially frightening The Dark Man’s capabilities are below:

We are looking forward to more information that’s coming tomorrow for Alone in the Dark. Be sure to check back with us to see just how malevolent The Dark Man is. The game will release on October 25th, 2023 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
