The popular heist ’em up Payday 3 is back! Are you a smooth operator, capable of managing a well-oiled team of bank robbers, or are you a smash-and-grab outlaw, guns-blazing kind of criminal? Are you a seasoned pro, fully versed in the ways of Payday, or are you down on your luck and in need of cash?
Well, now players can find out in Starbreeze and Overkill’s latest offering, Payday 3, as the Closed Beta for the game starts on August 2nd. Running until the 7th, players new and returning alike can experience the latest in the heist simulator series.
Here’s what we know about it:
The Payday 3 Closed Beta includes:
Play as the original gang: Dallas, Hoxton, Chains and Wolf. The iconic clown-masked characters that made the PAYDAY franchise infamous are all playable, each with its own unique skillset.
No Rest For The Wicked, a classic heist, that gives players the opportunity relieve a small bank of the cash cluttering up their vault. Go stealthily without anyone noticing how the cash evaporated or go loud and create cinematic chaos in an NYC robbery that’s worthy of the silver screen.
All difficulties will be playable, level cap is Infamy Level 22 and Weapon Level Progression is at 8.
The Closed Beta is only available to Steam and Xbox Series S|X players, so you PlayStation folk will have to wait.

The full Payday 3 is set to be released on September 21st 2023, and will be available on the aforementioned Steam and Xbox consoles, as well as PlayStation 5 and the Epic Game Store.
