Nearly 4 years after its initial announcement, Digimon Survive finally has a release date, and it’s just around the corner.
As someone who’s been keeping an eye on it since its announcement in 2018, I was happy to see Bandai Namco reveal that Digimon Survive has a release date, and there’s not much longer to wait! After its original scheduled release in 2019 but suffering numerous delays, Digimon Survive is finally set to release on July 29th.
A new release trailer for the game gives us a closer look at Digimon Survive, showing a mix of Danganronpa-esque visual novel scenes and Disgaea-esque tactical battles. According to Digimon Survive’s official website, the game tells the story of a new group of teens who become lost on a school trip and find themselves in a dangerous new world.
Digimon Survive promises a gorgeous anime art style and a darker narrative, where your choices and actions will affect how the story plays out. You’ll also be able to recruit more than 100 Digimon to aid you in combat, giving players plenty of options to choose from during their dangerous journey.
Digimon Survive launches on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam on July 29th, and you can check out the release trailer below.
