New Details Revealed On The Characters Of Persona 3 Reload In A Behind-The-Scenes Video

ATLUS has released the third instalment of their behind-the-scenes series on Persona 3 Reload, with a deeper look into the characters of the classic RPG remake. This title in particular is beloved as it was the first in the series to bring what fans know and love about the series today. Persona 3 has seen numerous iterative releases at this point outside of the original with FES adding a new epilogue, and Portable including a new playable protagonist but removing the animated cutscenes.

These differences have created a divisiveness amongst the audience on which version is the definitive way to play. The remake won’t reflect either the FES or Portable version of the game but a from-the-ground-up remake in Unreal Engine of the original game. So what better way to relearn about the original characters than to hear from the voice actors themselves?

The video features Grant George (Shinjiro in the original Persona 3), Justice Slocum (Shinjiro in Persona 3 Reload), Alejandro Saab (Akihiko in Persona 3 Reload) and Allegra Clark (Mitsuru in Persona 3 Reload) all discussing their involvement and excitement of bringing the beloved characters back in a fresh new way. You can watch the video yourself right here:

For the previous episodes, you can check them out right here (Episode 1) and here (Episode 2). The ATLUS team also provided new looks of the S.E.E.S (Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad) combat uniforms, a revamped look at the Velvet Room and some insight into the game’s UI.

Persona 3 Reload definitely takes some visual cues from the hit Persona 5 (and 5 Royale) and to play a classic with modern quality-of-life choices and graphical fidelity sure is exciting.

Persona 3 Reload will launch on February 2, 2024 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, Steam, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
