First up we recap this week’s PlayStation State of Play as we share our highlights of the show. We talk if we’ve finally been sold on Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League after the deep dive and the excitement for Resident Evil 4 and Street Fighter 6.

Elsewhere as the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard rumbles on we get caught up on the latest developments, of which Microsoft are stumbling out of the gate after their poor showing at the EU hearing, defending the acquisition with Sony seemingly pushing back on every promise. Will this deal ever go through? Do Microsoft have a leg left to stand on? Time will tell.

Finally, has Souls gone mainstream? With the enormous success of Elden Ring reported this week, has the genre shifted into the hands of filthy casuals? How did the marketing pull this one off? We discuss.

Not forgetting Game of the Week, Sean has been checking out the delightful Clive N’ Wrench, Miles has been ruling with an iron fist in The King’s Dilemma: Chronicle, Kat has been playing the almighty Chef Life and Jonathan has continued his journey in Spellforce along with some Blood Bowl III. Rossko has just been playing Fortnite, so same old there. He’s a predictable old man.
