It’s AI-live! Pragmata Appears At State Of Play 2025
It’s been a while, weird little android girl. Originally announced back in 2022, and sporting a 2023 release date, Pragmata has been that strange little game from Capcom with no information for a long time. We did get a little holding trailer in between, but nothing much else until now. However that’s all changed. Pragmata featured prominently on Sony’s State Of Play broadcast yesterday with a brand new trailer and a new release date. Check out the trailer, but let’s be cautious with release dates, yeah?
So almost a full minute on the sinister Delphi corporation and its seemingly beneficial AI and Lunafilament (is it some kind of mass 3D printing?). But then it’s straight into glitches and why are these things trying to kill us? Yep, sinister. Hugh the astronaut/engineer, is stranded on the moon with android Diana, and they must work together to survive and return to Earth. It’s got some real Dead-Space-but-high-tech vibes, and maybe a bit of Binary Domain if anyone remembers that one. We can’t wait to try out some force-hacking by controlling Diana too as she hangs on your back during fights. At least she can fight, because as we all know, the best gameplay in all the land is protecting a small child NPC. But one with range damage and hacking. Maybe it’ll be alright?
From the Press Release:
Set in a vision of the near future, PRAGMATA transports players to the moon. After a chance meeting aboard a seemingly lifeless lunar research station, spacefarer Hugh and android Diana find themselves caught in the crosshairs of a hostile AI in control of the station. Stranded and surrounded by enemies, only together can they hope to survive.
As Hugh finds himself needing to work with Diana to return to Earth, they must each rely on their own strengths and abilities to overcome the many obstacles in their path. In a twist, players will control both characters – at the same time – in this single-player adventure. At the heart of the action is Hacking, which enriches combat with a sense of strategy and excitement unique to PRAGMATA. More information about the gameplay experience is coming soon, so please stay tuned.
PRAGMATA is coming in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam
