The Sims and The Sims 2 return for series’ 25th Birthday

EA have today revealed The Sims and The Sims 2 have been rereleased on Steam, Epic Game Store and via the EA App to coincide with the series 25th birthday celebrations.

The classic titles, which were originally released in 2000 and 2004 respectively include the full expansions kits for each game, and can be bought together in a ‘Birthday Bundle’ which also includes content for The SIms 4, the ongoing title in the series that is currently free to play across PC and consoles.

The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection are available now.


Star Wars comes to Destiny 2 next week

Bungie have revealed that Destiny 2 will be receiving Star Wars content next week alongside the release of their upcoming Heresy episode on February 4th.

The content will feature items such as armor ornaments inspired by Stormtroopers and royal guards of the Galactic Empire along with themed accessories and new sets.


Forza Horizon 5 comes to PS5 this spring

After a steady week of leaks, Forza developer Playground Games have confirmed that Forza Horizon 5 will be releasing on PS5 this spring.

The port will be developed by Panic Button and will feature a full content set as currently found on Xbox and PC and marks yet another shift in platform exclusivity for Microsoft, following the ports of Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment and Grounded to the Sony system last year.

“We are excited to see the Forza Horizon 5 community grow with new players on PS5, and we can’t wait to see the creativity and skill these new creators, builders, and racers will bring to our vibrant community,” said Playground Games about the announcement.


MultiVersus fifth season will be its last.

MultiVersus has reached its end with the upcoming fifth season to be its last. Season 5 runs from February 5th to May 30th when the game will go offline and delisted from all storefronts.

A statement was shared detailing the upcoming changes to the game which will see an offline mode implemented for long-term players. After careful consideration, our next Season will serve as the final seasonal content update for the game,

“All online features will continue to be available until Season 5 concludes on May 30 at 9am PST,” the statement reads. “At that point, there will be an option to play MultiVersusoffline via the local gameplay mode, either solo against AI opponents or with up to three friends.

“To do this, you’ll need to install/download the latest version of the game and log in during Season 5, any time between February 4 at 9am PST and May 30 at 9am PST.

“After logging in, a local save file will be automatically created connected to your PlayStation Network, Microsoft Store, Steam, or Epic Games Store account, allowing you to enjoy the game offline with all earned and purchased content moving forward.​”


Indiana Jones and The Great Circle reaches four million players

Machinegames Indiana Jones and The Great Circle has been played by over four million players, Microsoft have revealed.

The successful title was released on December 9th last year for Xbox Series X|S and PC along with Xbox and PC Game Pass. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella had this to say regarding the games performance;

“We saw rave reviews of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which has already been played by more than four million people,” he said.
