Copycat Is Up For Adoption September 19th On Steam
Back in June, Copycat was one of the first demos we had a paw at during the summer showcases. The demo sold us on an emotionally driven game with a feline friend as its core. At last, the folks over at Spoonful of Wonder have settled on a release date: September 19th. Having just been emotionally wrecked by Farewell North and its tale of a spritely Border Collie, are we ready to suffer more heartache at the behest of a cat’s adventure this time? You bet we are.
To celebrate the announcement of the release date, the developers have released a brand new trailer you can feast your keen kitten sense upon:
Want to know more about what to expect? Of course you do. Fret not, we have you covered:
Copycat is an emotional, narrative-driven game about the meaning of home. It follows the story of a newly adopted shelter cat, who becomes the victim of an elaborate plan, when a jealous, stray copycat steals her place in the household. The game’s colourful visuals delight the senses while exploring dark emotional depths of the human condition. Wander alleyways, fences and rooftops as Dawn tries to make her way back home and be reunited with Olive. But when she arrives, will Olive recognise her? How will Olive make the choice between cats? Or was Dawn the copycat all along?
