The First Berserker: Khazan Launches In 2025

For those of you lucky enough to be at Gamescom this week, you’ll have the opportunity to play The First Berserker: Khazan. As for the rest of us, we’ll have to content ourselves with an action-packed trailer and the first details of a closed beta test, coming rather soon. From developer Neople and publisher Nexon, The First Berserker: Khazan is an action adventure Souls-like in a dark fantasy world.

Neople have promised we can expect to face tough and intense battles, based on the world of Dungeon&Fighter. It’s looking distinctly inspired by the work of the late, great Kentaro Miura’s Berserk, which for more than a couple of us at Finger Guns, is hugely exciting. Throw in challenging and tense Souls-like combat, and we’re positively overflowing with excitement to get our hands on it.

  • A Compelling Story – As the forgotten hero, players will reclaim battle-hardened skills forged in fierce combat, seeking vengeance against those who defame and oppose them.
  • Hardcore Action & Diverse Mechanics – Players can engage in thrilling combat that evolves in style and tempo as the character grows by successfully tackling more challenging missions, facing formidable bosses, acquiring powerful gears and more.
  • Immersive Graphics & 3D Cel Animation – Through realistically depicted backgrounds and character motions, players can feel as if they are watching a dark fantasy drawn through unique cartoon style rendering and intricate actions.

Should you find yourself interested and wanting to get a snippet of what the full game will be like, you can sign up for the closed beta. It’ll be running from the 11th to the 20th of October, and you can sign up via the official website.

The First Berserker: Khazan is planned for release in early 2025 for Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
