You know what 2017 is (apart from the possible near end of days, but let’s not dwell on that).
2017 marks the 20th anniversary of Harvest Moon. That’s right, 20 years! To celebrate, publisher Natsume is creating a brand-new game for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope tells story of the players travelling by boat and searching for a new home.
“As they drift into a small harbor town, now in a shambles from the storm, it will be up to the player to help rebuild the town and save the lighthouse…but it won’t be easy! Nevertheless, with some hard work growing crops, tending livestock, and gathering materials for repairs, players will be able to make new friends, start a family, revive the lighthouse, and save the town.”
CEO of Natsume, Hiro Maekawa says in a statement that Light of Hope will offer ‘depth’, ‘clear-cut goals’ and a ‘robust story’.
Maekawa added ”We set out to create a SNES-style nostalgic game with deep and meaningful characters and events”.
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will be playable at E3 2017 and Natsume’s booth.
