Team17’s ‘Ageless’ Launches July 28th

Use time to overcome puzzle platforming obstacles in Ageless, launching next month.,

Team17 and One More Dream Studios have today announced that puzzle-platformer Ageless will be coming to PC and Nintendo Switch on 28th July. This is One More Dream Studios’ debut game and it looks to be quite an interesting first release…

“The game tells the personal story of Kiara, who embarks on a magical journey of self-discovery after finding a mysterious bow that can age and de-age the plants and animals around her. As she continues her adventure, players have to use her new found abilities to traverse colourful environments and solve various brain-teasing puzzles.”

  • Unique age manipulation: Age flora and fauna through various stages of their life cycles to solve puzzles standing in your way
  • Puzzle platforming: Ageless uses the environment and the age manipulation mechanic to provide intricate platforming challenges
  • Emotive storyline: Traverse through a pixel-art world of wonder and find Kiara’s true purpose, interacting with various important characters with their own stories to tell

Crafting Kiara’s journey in Ageless has been a real wild ride for everybody at One More Dream, and we’re truly excited to be able to announce its release date. I’m so proud of what the team has accomplished, and I can’t wait to see how the ageing mechanic and personal story resonate with people once they get their hands on Ageless next month.”

Bala Vicknesh, Lead Developer, One More Dream Studios

“Working on Ageless has been a special experience. One More Dream Studios’ debut title is a wonderfully thought-provoking game with a lot of heart, and it’s been a real pleasure to help bring their vision to life.”

Chris Chester, Producer, Team17

To keep up to date with all the information on Ageless you can follow Team17 on  Facebook, follow the game on Twitter, and join their Discord.

Our Take – For a debut game, Ageless looks quite incredible. There’s shades of Celeste coming through in this new trailer but with an interesting mechanic of ageing and de-ageing things to overcome obstacles. If you haven’t already, please check out that trailer. The screenshots make this game look like any other 2D pixel platformer you’ve played but in motion, you can see that there’s been some bold choices with the art style and it really has its own look.
