Imagine we typed something really interesting here please. Today’s news is down there. Go on. Have a read.
There is a sequel to Labyrinth in the Works!
They want a sequel to Labyrinth. Who do? You do, apparently. After the recent success of the Dark Crystal prequel series, it was probably always going to happen whether we wanted it or not. It’s currently being directed by Dr. Strange’s Scott Derrickson, but no news yet on whether it involves the Goblin King played by a new actor. Some, including our own Sean, would say it should never happen without Bowie.
If you’re as mad as him about this, you’re probably showing your age. Get this; the baby, the one with the power and all that, was called Toby Froud, son of the great Brian Froud who designed the Dark Crystal and its world. Toby is now in his thirties and worked on the creatures in the new Age of Resistance series. Yeah, let that sink in over your Bran Flakes.
Star Wars: Battlefront II rumoured to be on PS Plus for June
It looks like June is going to be a bumper month for PS Plus subscribers. The first game on offer was leaked earlier this week, which only turned out to be Call of Duty WWII. But in keeping with multiplayer shooters, the second game rumoured for June is sci-fi free for all, Star Wars Battlefront II.
Yet the extra bonus? COD WWII is available on the PS Plus game menu now, a week early.
Dead by Daylight: Silent Hill launches in June
Silent Hill is the latest IP to get the Chapter treatment in Dead by Daylight.
The latest DLC features Pyramid Head as the games latest killer, also featuring a new map and a survivor. The Silent Hill pack is the seventh license to be added to the game following Halloween’s Michael Myers, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Amanda Young from Saw, the Demogorgon from Stranger Things and Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street.
Pyramid Head will haunt your nightmares from June 16th on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Steam users can test out the content in the Public Test Build right now.
GTA VI to launch in 2023?
The question on most people’s minds at the moment is when are we going to see a new GTA game?
If a financial report from Rockstar’s parent company, Take Two is to be believed it looks like 2023 is the year. The report shows a massive spike in spending on marketing. A massive $89 million is set to be spent on marketing between April 2023, and the end of March 2024. A similar spike was spotted prior to the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 so following the pattern GTA VI could be launched between April 2023 and March 2024.

Jump King Leaping To Consoles On June 9th
Described as a “Tactical Leaping Adventure”, the extraordinarily difficult Jump King is making the leap to PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on June 9th. That’s the announcement today from UKIYO Publishing and independent game developer Nexile. The game is all about climbing a massive tower by setting themselves in the desired position, charge their jump just right, then let gravity do its thing. Miss the platform and it could be one hell of a drop.
“It’s great to finally be able to share Jump King with players on console. Building the entire game around just jumping was very amusing. I’m happy we stuck with the purity of our vision. We managed to distill the mechanic to one of its truest forms, creating an unforgettable challenge for players! Jump King has a modern structure and a mechanic taken for granted with a twist, all in a captivating and classic package. We think console gamers will both love and hate it, just like we do”.Felix Wahlström of Nexile

Toy Soldiers Is Getting A Remaster and a WW2 Based Sequel
This will mean different things to different people but the original Toy Soldiers and its expansion Cold War is coming to the Nintendo Switch. You’ve either gone “YAY” or “What?”. There’s no in-between. Originally released back in 2010 and published by Microsoft as an Xbox Live Arcade game, it appears that the original developer Signal Studios are now back in control of the series and are bringing it to the Switch later this year.
What’s more, there’s a sequel (which appears to be ignoring the ill-fated War Chest entry) called Toy Soldiers 2: Finest Hour in development featuring WW2 toys.
