It looks as though Microsoft have sewn up PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds as an exclusive publishing deal.
Up until now, the wording around the “exclusive” nature of the PUGB deal on Xbox One has been a little woolly. The PlayerUnknown himself, Brendan Greene, probably just ended all speculation about whether the game would be coming to the PS4. Speaking during the Xbox Gamescom live event, Greene confirmed that developers Bluehole would be teaming up with Microsoft to publish the title on Xbox One.
While that’s not concrete proof that the game won’t be coming to the PS4 (Rise of the Tomb Raider was published by Microsoft on Xbox but still made its way to the PS4), it’s a pretty worrying sign for fans of the game that would like to see it on PlayStation Platforms.
