Destiny 2: Beyond Light Revealed
Bungie have today revealed Beyond Light, the latest expansion for Destiny 2 arriving on September 22nd. Not only that, but the Season of Arrivals in-game event begins today.
Beyond Light and Season of Arrivals both tie-in to the ever-expanding narrative of the Destiny 2 universe, once again pitting Guardians up against the might of alien forces and the mysterious Pyramid ships.
For months, the mysterious Pyramid ships have been making their way to our solar system, their purpose unknown but their menace clear. In Season of Arrivals, the moon of Io will see the arrival of the first Pyramid ship, setting off a chain of events that will unfold throughout the Season, into the Beyond Light expansion, and beyond.
Bungie have also confirmed that Destiny 2 will be launching on PS5 and Xbox Series X, with the upgrades from Xbox One to Series X free via Smart Delivery. The PlayStation 4 to 5 upgrade will also be free of charge.
A new power is born out of the ancient Pyramid ship above Europa, and a dark empire has risen beneath. In the Destiny 2: Beyond Light expansion, Guardians will explore a changed universe, with a new destination, new adventures, and even new powers to explore
Explore Europa: In Beyond Light, Guardians will be called to a new destination: Jupiter’s frozen moon of Europa. Brave the unrelenting glacial frontier, infiltrate the Golden Age Braytech facility, and uncover the secrets that lie deep under the ancient ice.
Wield the Darkness: As a new threat emerges, so too does a mysterious new power – Stasis. Rooted in Darkness, Guardians will wield this new elemental power alongside Arc, Solar, and Void to summon epic supers and control the battlefield. Titans, Warlocks and Hunters will each use Stasis in a different way. More details on Stasis to come later this summer.
Players can pre-order Destiny 2: Beyond Light now to get instant access to a special Exotic Ghost Shell and Legendary Emblem! Digital Deluxe owners also receive instant access to the new Exotic Freeze Tag emote. Pre-orders for Destiny 2: Beyond Light are available now on Steam, Stadia, Xbox One, and will be available soon on the PlayStation Store.
Season of Arrivals
A dark omen enters the system and a signal howls through the emptiness of space. In the shadow of the mysterious Pyramid ship, Guardians must search for answers. The ongoing narrative in Destiny’s evolving universe continues with the launch of the eleventh Season: Season of Arrivals.
The Season of Arrivals begins today. Go get em’, Guardians.

Resident Evil 8 Rumour Mill Starts Turning
Some new and interesting information has apparently leaked regarding Capcom’s next Resi game – Resident Evil 8.
There was perhaps a chance of a reveal at Sony’s PS5 event, but as that got delayed we have to wait just a little longer. But, until then these leaks (in handy bullet point form) have come from BioHazard Declassified via Rely on Horror and sound on point.
Occultism. The game would revolve in some apart around occultism, but not magic. There is a cult that pray to the abominations created by the new virus. Supernatural elements would be explained by hallucinations provoked by the virus.
Antagonist. Alan R. would be the main villain, a count that live in a castle. Natalia/Alex Wesker would be the secondary villain. Blue Umbrella would have something to hide.
Emily, new playable character. Emily is a mountain resident that will help Ethan. She grew up in the village.
Flashlight. RE8 will be a very dark game and we will have to use a flashlight to give some light in our advance. The flashlight will run out of batteries and we should let it rest to recharge. New mechanic.
Locations. We will visit castles, caves, forest and the village. Larger focus in outdoor areas than the rest games in the series.
Evil Chris. Ethan and Mia have a child and due to the infections occurred during RE7, the child is deformed. They live in a lonely place and Chris Redfield operating on his own breaks into the house and executed the baby and shoot Mia. Ethan is abducted and he wakes up in the village.
Ethan’s Trek. We will start our journey thought the mountains unarmed.
Enemies. We will fight mainly against zombies and human like enemies. Add dogs, wolves and enemies similar to the Lickers. In the castle there are zombies with swords, knives and cubs. Expect some gruesome enemies with abomination designs.
Sounds a lot more like Resident Evil 4 to me so that already gets my vote. Sony’s new PS5 event is at 9pm BST on Thursday so hopefully, we may get a glimpse.

Psychological Horror Sanity Of Morris Announced
Listeners of our podcast might have already heard of Sanity of Morris but today StickyLock Studios and Alterego Games have officially announced their psychological horror adventure game with a Q4 2020 release date.
“Equipped with nothing more than a flashlight and a notebook, it is up to you to step into the shoes of Johnathan Morris and discern truth from fiction. Light reveals the clues you need to find your father, but also alerts the ones who are trying to hunt you down. Darkness keeps you hidden, but linger for too long, and you might go insane.”
“We wanted to create something new and exciting, but also keep doing what we’re good at; storytelling. So for Sanity of Morris we took from Woven the adventure genre, having collectibles and working with a strong narrative. But then we added a whole layer of psychological horror in the music, in the visuals, and it’s really unnerving! In this game, you will start to question John’s reality. It makes for an engaging experience, like an interactive movie, perfect for escaping daily life. And we can all use that right about now.”Dominic de Graaf, Creative Director.
Sanity of Morris is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and MacOS.

Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition announced for Console & PC
We quite enjoyed Nongunz when it released for PC in May 2017. Now publisher Digerati and developer Brainwash Gang have announced that the “nihilistic action platformer” will be returning as “Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition” for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. It will launch in Q3 2020.
“The Doppelganger Edition adds a co-op mode and a new arena mode. We have also tweaked some enemies in order to greatly lower the player’s suffering. We hope console players will welcome it as a challenge, as we know it is one of the hardest games to beat in the market. That being said, our goal has always been to make a 100 percent fair game, so it is in the players’ hands and ability to complete it and share their knowledge about the game.”Brainwash Gang founder Edu Verzinsky
A demo for Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition will be available for PC via Steam as part of the Steam Game Festival: Summer Edition, which runs from June 16 to 22.

First-person horror multiplayer game Nemesis: Distress announced
Developers Ovid Works and Awaken Realms Digital have announced Nemesis: Distress, a first-person horror multiplayer game adaption of the Nemesis board game. It is in development for PC with a planned release via Steam.
Nemesis: Distress is “a multiplayer-focused game with a hidden traitor aspect, as well as shooter and survival elements.” Players will play through 40-minute scenarios to try to fulfill their secret objective and survive.
“Players will choose one of the asymmetric character classes, all with special actions that come in hand in specific situations. They will also select the secret objective they have to fulfill in order to win the game – those are randomly drawn out of the pool containing exciting challenges such as destroying the Nest, directing the ship safely to Mars, or even ensuring other players die. Sometimes there will be no traitor, but you never know who to trust!”
Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife announced for VR Platforms
Sharing the same universe as Vampire: The Masquerade and Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife is the new horror VR game from Fast Travel Games (Apex Construct and Budget Cuts 2). Set in the modern Barclay Mansion, players will take the perspective of a Wraith and unravel the many mysteries that await beyond the Shroud. It’ll be heading to all major VR platforms.
“I am a massive fan of games like Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Alien: Isolation, and have always felt that the kind of narrative-driven, exploration-focused horror these titles deliver would be perfect for VR. To make such a game in the World of Darkness setting, specifically the rich and mystical world of Wraith: The Oblivion, is really a dream come true for me, and I cannot wait to share more details about it!“Erik Odeldahl, Creative Director at Fast Travel Games
“Playing games in the World of Darkness story universe, whether it’s tabletop, traditional video game, or VR, lets us experience a dark, urban fantasy layered over our modern world. By assuming the perspective of a monster, we can gain a better understanding of what it truly means to be human. We’re excited to be taking our first steps from the Skinlands toward Stygia in World of Darkness version 5 in such an innovative and appropriate medium. Death is only the beginning in Wraith: The Oblivion…”Sean Greaney, Brand Manager for World of Darkness at Paradox Interactive
