‘Save Your Nuts’ hitting PC, Xbox One and Switch next week

After a year in Early Access, Save Your Nuts is tackling PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on April 16, 2020

The frantic “Rocket League but with animals” 8 player party game Save Your Nuts is launching on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on the 16th of April, 2020. It’s a couch party (AI or Human) and online multiplayer game inspired by the classic struggle of suburban pets and local critters.

In Save Your Nuts you play as customisable dogs, squirrels, raccoons, beavers, wolves, and armadillos who fight over an elusive acorn. Kind of like Ice Age’s Scrat but times 8. Each character has different abilities such as speed, strength, jump and other special moves, making its selection a strategic choice before diving in the arena.

Developers Triple Scale Games launched Save Your Nuts into Early Access on Steam back in April 2019 and will a year of player input (helping the game win Best Multiplayer Game at BostonFIG) the game will be launching fully next week. Frederic Bobohn, Triple Scale Games founder had this to say;

“We would like to thank our Early Access community; they have really helped us with their feedback so far. This period has been extremely constructive for us. Their suggestions and the improvements we’ve made will help us to launch on Steam with a high-quality game that we can bring to even more people on Xbox and Switch”,

Save Your Nuts will launch with 3 game modes –

  • Capture the Nut –  An acorn is dropped and teams fight to score it in a goal.
  • Thieves – Fight to steal multiple enemy’s nuts while protecting your own team’s.
  • Battle – A constant fight to be the last animal with their nuts intact.

Each of these Save Your Nuts modes will be playable across 10 different arenas ranging from backyards and parks to castles, ships, and even outer space.

You can pre-order Save Your Nuts on Xbox One now. If you’re a PC player, make sure to add the game to your wishlist.
