Metronomik and Sold Out have today revealed that their upcoming rhythm-combat adventure game No Straight Roads will launch on 30th June on PS4 and the Epic Games Store with a ridiculously swish Collectors Edition to those who desire it.
This package – that Rossko wants IMMEDIATELY – includes a double-sided vinyl LP containing a selection of songs from the games brilliant soundtrack, a 64-page artbook and a set of No Straight Roads drumsticks.
Developed by Wan Hazmer – lead game designer of Final Fantasy XV – along with Daim Dzlauddin, concept artist of Street Fighter V, No Straight Roads pits two indie rock band members – Mayday and Zuke – against NSR, an evil EDM empire who controls their Vinyl City, taking over other music genres. You’ll be taking on enormous bosses and exploring beautifully crafted areas of Vinyl City all to the rhythm of a killer soundtrack to lead a musical revolution.
It’s quite the tonic to the world right now and should prove so upon release at the end of June. We got our hands on the game last year and came away hugely impressed, with Rossko citing it ‘blew my mind into tiny little pieces’. Praise indeed.
Look out for much more on No Straight Roads in the lead up to release. We can’t wait.
