Whilst it may be less than three weeks until its release, fans eager to play the upcoming Resident Evil 3 Remake will get an appetizer soon enough.
This Thursday, the 19th, Capcom are putting a demo up on the PS4 and Xbox stores, as well as PC via Steam. The remake of the 1999 classic looks to follow in the footsteps of last year’s Resident Evil 2 Remake: beautiful visuals, a revised take on survival horror and a reimagined story. Check out the trailer below:
Resistance, on the other hand, is the free multiplayer mode that comes with the main game. Looking like a cross between the old Resident Evil Outbreak games and more modern contemporaries like Evolve, Resistance looks to be injecting something new into Resident Evil multiplayer.
Teams of four Survivors work together to take on hordes of undead enemies and bioweapons, whilst a fifth player acts as the Mastermind. Similar to Resident Evil 6’s mode where you can jump in as a random zombie, the Mastermind has the ability to control enemies at will.
It’s looking great so far, and it’s a free taste of the main game that isn’t far off now.
Resident Evil 3 Remake is available from April 3rd 2020.
