If Finger Guns knows anything, and honestly it’s not all that much, we know when a video game looks freakin’ terrific and we’re happy to say that Prospect Games’ brand new online physics fighter is looking every bit as good as we hoped.
The makers of the rather splendid Unbox: Newbie’s Adventure, have taken to Kickstarter to acquire additional funding for Robot Champions and they’re already halfway there, cannot yet confirm if they are also living on a prayer. Assumedly that’ll arrive when the game hits 100%.
So what is Robot Champions? Well, it’s a really really ridiculously good looking local and online arena fighter for up to six players. Much like their previous title Unbox, the gameplay is physics driven, immersing the player into each match. ‘Responsive and impactful’ gameplay is very much the order of the day here.
Robot Champions also offers perks which will allow you to modify your performance and customise to your hearts content until you’re ready to do battle in the arena.

Prospect Games are looking to raise a minimum of £30,000 and their Kickstarter is open until September 24th. Head here if you’d like more information or want to pledge.
Steam user? You can play the game right now in a pre-alpha. There’s no console version planned just yet, though Prospect hope to raise enough through their Kickstarter to speed up the console ports.
