Rockstar has let it be known (probably rather smugly) that GTA Online’s Diamond Casino and Resort has seen the “biggest day and biggest week” of returning player numbers since GTA Online launched way back in 2013. Which is staggering, when you think about it.
For those of you who haven’t heard, The Diamond Casino and Resort is based in the heart of Los Santos, GTA Online’s home city. It’s the latest expansion to the online world, where players can gamble on numerous casino games, like Blackjack and Roulette. Each day players can pick up 1000 Diamond chips and have a spin on the wheel of fortune for a chance to win a new car, GTA Dollars or RP.
The new expansion hasn’t been without controversy though, as some people aren’t happy you can gamble real money for GTA Dollars without getting anything back. We discussed this on our podcast if you want to take a listen.
I’ve been dipping my toe into GTA the past few days and I have to admit that it’s good to be back in Los Santos. I only wish Rockstar would allow you to sell all the shit you’ve acquired over the years like the bunkers and warehouses. Which I have NEVER used. Oh, and it would be nice if I could wake up in my club and not have to drive across town to sign in as a CEO and then drive all the way back, just so I can do some nightclub missions. Unless I’m missing something?
