Over at the The Wall (as Michael Scott likes to call it), a report has been published with a claim that Nintendo are set to reveal two brand new Switch models to be released by the end of the year.
Due to be revealed at E3, the first model will be for the ‘hardcore’ audience, with enhanced features and some boosted tech under the hood, though the report has mentioned not to expect a handheld PS4 Pro or Xbox One X. The second model will be a ‘cheaper option for casual gamers that Nintendo sees as a successor to its aging handheld 3DS device’. The Wall Street Journal article claims this model will remove features such as controller vibration to cut costs.
The WSJ cites developers and part suppliers as their sources, so it would seem this particular report has some legs.
