But since Google has come along the browser is a whole new experience. The internet giant’s next big thing for their Chrome browser is Project Stream which will allow you to stream games to your Chrome browser.
“We’ve been working on Project Stream, a technical test to solve some of the biggest challenges of streaming,” Google said in its new blog post. “For this test, we’re going to push the limits with one of the most demanding applications for streaming—a blockbuster video game.”
A test for the service is due to go live on October 5 for a lucky few participants. Theses lucky gamers will get to try out Ubisoft’s Assassins Creed Odyssey. However, it’s not clear how long the test service will fun for.
Of course like any streaming service, there is no time for buffering, this has to be seamless service, otherwise, the gameplay will be compramised. But I guess if anyone can do it, then Google can.
If you are looking to take part in the test service you should apply through the Google website. However, you need to be over 17 years old and annoyingly live in the U.S., and your internet connection capable of 25 megabits per second.
