THQ Nordic have announced they’ve signed a physical distribution deal with Avalanche Studios to publish Generation Zero worldwide.
Pim Holfve, CEO of Avalanche Studios,
“We developed a good, and successful, relationship through the distribution of theHunter Call of the Wild, so we’re happy to partner up with THQ again with our brand-new IP, Generation Zero. With a strong partner like THQ we can put our full focus on what we’re best at; making fantastic game experiences.”
Generation Zero – which at first glance caused the FNGR GNS team to wonder it was a co-op prequel to Horizon Zero Dawn – is an up-to four player open world action game set in 1980’s Sweden.
The enemies are persistently simulated within the world and have little desire for much else other than tearing you to pieces. When you damage an enemy, whether it be minimal or catastrophic, the enemies will bear those scars throughout the game until you face them again, no matter when you run into them again. That’s damn cool.
Generation Zero is due in 2019.
