Now you can ask Ghost – via Alexa – to sort your gear in Destiny 2.
Bungie have developed a Ghost Skill for your Amazon Echo, allowing you to interact with Ghost. The skill is free of charge and available now.
As a companion to Destiny 2, the Ghost Skill will allow you ask Alexa to ask Ghost to see what friends are online to what you should do next, along with calling for back up which will act as a way to invite players to the game. You’re also able to equip particular loadouts on the go without having to exit your game screen.
Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision had this to say regarding the Ghost Skill;
“The Ghost serves as your guide and companion in Destiny 2 the game, and now players will be able to bring that experience into the real world with them through Alexa. The Destiny 2 Ghost skill is the first of its kind and the most innovative and immersive gaming experience to date on Alexa. We’re excited to give our community of players, who are among the most-dedicated fans in the world, new ways to play Destiny 2 with the Ghost skill and Limited-Edition Destiny 2 Ghost. The lines between in-game and out-of-game have been blurred in an incredible new way.”
Rossko has been messing around with Ghost in his own Echo Dot and in his own words, ‘yeah, it’s ok. Needs more things to do’. So there you have it. Comprehensive.
Also, and you may have noticed this below, is the Limited Edition Destiny 2 Ghost, which acts as a WiFi enabled speaker which is compatible with Alexa devices. The Limited Edition Destiny 2 Ghost and Echo Dot speaker bundle is available for £129.89, and can be purchased separately as a companion to Alexa devices for £79.99. Both will be available from December 19th.
