Yes. Another souls-like. *huge sigh* but at least Immortal: Unchained looks a little different that the rest.
Announced yesterday by Sebastian Thorwaldsson, lead designer from Toadsman Interactive, Immortal: Unchained is promising to “scratch that Souls itch”. The twist? It’s primarily a third person shooter. While it’s borrowing the “cycle of defeat, pattern recognition, and finally victory” from the Souls game, it looks like it’s trying to do enough to distance itself from From Software’s games.
Set in a futuristic world that’s currently being torn to pieces by a cosmic event, you play as a living weapon that must save the Cosmos for reasons unknown (something we’ll be able to uncover while in the game apparently). You’ll be planet hopping, travelling through a network called “The Stream” to reach far off worlds in an instant.
Immortal: Unchained was announced for PC via Steam, PS4 and Xbox One and will come at some in 2018.
