Fresh new details (read rumors) regarding the next assassin’s creed game

By

Fans of Assassin’s Creed games may have felt like a part of their body was missing last year when Ubisoft decided (and desperately needed) to take a break from the Assassin’s Creed games. Skipping a year in order to refresh the series may have left some a bit miffed but for me it was probably the best thing they could have done.

So news of this years Assassin’s Creed game is kind of big deal seeing as it’s meant to be all refreshed and new and stuff so what are the latest rumors doing the rounds?

First of there is a new name being thrown in the ring. Originally the last we heard was that the new game would be called Assassin’s Creed: Empire. but word reaches us from anonymous sources saying that the new game will be called Assassin’s Creed: Origins and will be revealed at E3 2017

The sources go on to say that Origin’s ” is a vast open world experience taking place in ancient Egypt. The story is rumoured to revolve around the original assassin’s guild and will feature two main characters – a man and a woman.”

There was also a suggestion that the structure of the game will be less linear , with a character progression system that has been compared to that found in Skyrim. If it’s open worlds you want, then this game should suit you with sources saying that this is the biggest AC yet with more emphasis on exploring. It has been suggested that this particular AC game has been in development for “at least several years”

One of the most exciting things that has come out of this latest rumor is the return of naval battles. Not only will players be able to explore Egypt, but possibly go beyond that as far as Greece! If that’ turns out be true, that’s pretty huge!

so that’s all we have right now, the sources have been linked with Ubisoft so there could be some weight behind it but as usual until things are confirmed take it all with a pinch of salt. Although saying that Ubsifot are utter rubbish at keeping their games a secret so it’s quite possible that all this is true.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is currently set to launch in fall 2017.
