Exclusive Xbox games will now appear on Game Pass at launch

Microsoft may have just flipped the script.

Microsoft have just dropped a megaton announcement with the reveal that all future Microsoft Studios Xbox One console exclusive games will appear on Xbox Game Pass the same day as they are launched.

This will include upcoming releases such as Sea of Thieves on March 20th, along with State of Decay 2, Crackdown 3 and future iterations of Halo, Forza and Gears of War, will all appear on the service day and date with their retail and digital release.

Along with this, Microsoft have launched a 6-month Game Pass subscription card for those who want to dip their toe in before making the full commitment. The pass will be available for $59.99 from GameStop in the US. No word yet if UK retailers will offer similar deals.

This is pretty wild. I wonder if Sony has anything up their sleeve to counter?
