Mega-star singer Sting (yes, the actual Sting) has joined the cast of whistful American travel game Where the Water Tastes Like Wine. No, really.

The announcement comes with the following trailer which highlights the vocal cast including Sting who is joined by Dave Fennoy (Lee Everret in Telltale’s The Walking Dead), Kimberly Brooks (Mass Effect), Elizabeth Maxwell (RWBY), Melissa Hutchison (Clementine in The Walking Dead) and FingerGuns favourite Cissy Jones (Firewatch, Life Is Strange, Adr1ft and Destiny 2).

Where the Water Tastes Like Wine recently featured in our list of “50 Indie Games To Be Excited About in 2018” and with this announcement, certainly cements itself on that list. “50 Indie Games To Be Excited About in 2018”

If you’re unfamiliar with who Sting is, he was the lead singer and songwriter of 1970-80’s mega-group The Police, a group that won more than a dozen Grammy awards. He has had an incredible solo career as a singer and even branched out into acting, starring in cult classic Dune among others. He’s kind of a big deal.

“Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is an upcoming game about traveling, sharing stories, and surviving manifest destiny. Featuring gorgeous illustration by Kellan Jett, Where the Water Tastes Like Wine combines 2D visuals with a 3D overworld US map. Players wander through the United States – and through a century of history – to meet a variety of people, each with their own stories to tell.”
